WHAT IS RAW HAIR?

Let's start with the true definition of raw hair because it’s very important:

Raw hair is by true definition, virgin hair. However, the hair industry has been flooded with all types of hair that the word “raw” needed to be incorporated to properly differentiate between real virgin hair, “raw”, chemical free and processed virgin hair.

Real virgin "raw" hair will come in 3 basic textures: Straight, Wavy, & Curly. Anything else is processed to a degree. 

The main advantages to having Pure Raw Virgin Hair are as follows:

• Fuller bundles
• Higher quality and longer lasting hair
• Natural looking and flowing hair that blends with all hair types.
• Cuticle aligned hair. No matting and minimum shedding
• No chemical processing
• Hair is purely from one person, no blended lengths or hair additives. 

 

WHAT COLOR ARE THE EXTENSIONS?

Our raw hair comes in the original state of the donor’s hair. This color is normally closest to a #1B or #2 for comparison purposes. However, the hair can be colored to your desired preference.

 

HOW MANY BUNDLES DO I NEED FOR AN INSTALLATION?

With proper maintenance and care, our raw hair should have little to no shedding. Although our wefts are very secured, we recommend gently detangling your hair from the ends to the root. Our raw hair does not tangle.

 

WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF THE HAIR YOU PROVIDE?

Raw South Indian and Southeast Asian (SEA).

 

WHAT IS SEA HAIR?

SEA Hair stands for South-East Asian Hair. It is sourced from the vibrant South-East Asian region, including countries like Cambodia, Burma, Laos, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Any hair originating from these countries falls under the category of SEA Hair.

 

WHAT IS ROUTE?

Route is our package insurance that provides optional package protection for a nominal fee during checkout, it is available to both international and domestic customers. This service allows protected customers to easily file claims for lost, damaged, or stolen packages and receive a replacement or a refund. It is a straightforward, self-serve process comprising three steps. Opting for Route ensures a seamless and professional resolution to any shipping-related issues. 

 

I HAVE FINE HAIR, WILL THIS HAIR WORK FOR ME?

Certainly! Our hair extensions are suitable for all hair types and ethnicities. If you have fine hair and are looking for the right texture match, we recommend our RAW LAO WAVY/CURLY HAIR. This option is ideal for adding volume and texture to finer hair types, ensuring a seamless blend for a natural and stunning look.

 

HOW LONG WILL THE HAIR LAST?

We do not put an expiration date on the hair we offer. With proper care and maintenance, our raw hair extensions can last for years. To ensure you are protecting your investment, we have provided hair care instructions below along with additional tips on our Blog page.

Please keep in mind that no 2 people care for their hair the same way. There are so many factors to consider; products used, climate, water, how often the hair is washed, heating tools, and of course how you individually care for the hair. 

 

RECOMMENDED HAIR CARE INFORMATION

Pre-Installation

Always wash your hair extensions first before installation. You will be able to detect any issues with your bundles at this time. If you do, please contact us here immediately to discuss the problems and we will resolve them accordingly.

Raw Hair Maintenance

• It is recommended to wash the hair with shampoo and conditioner at least once every 2-3 weeks to maintain the appearance. 
• Apply a moisture rich shampoo and conditioner like Tresemme or Nexxus and brush the hair, starting with the ends working your way up to the tip.
• Comb the hair with a wide tooth comb while wet, beginning at the ends to the tip. 
• Let air-dry.
• Do not brush or comb hair when dry, it will cause hair to frizz and may cause hair to tangle. 
• Use a heat protectant if you decide to blow-dry, curl or straighten the hair. 
• Do not use oil products or excessive products on curly hair, it will cause matting.
• Avoid alcohol-based products altogether.

 Raw Curly & Wavy Hair Maintenance

• Full shampoo & deep condition once every 1.5 weeks with Sulfate Free Alcohol based Product.
• Co-wash weekly depending on buildup. Raw hair is high maintenance.
• Detangle only when wet, brush from bottom to top.
• Braid or pineapple the hair at night to keep wavy pattern & prevent frizz.
• To refresh curls, part hair in 4-6 sections. Mix curling pudding cream or leave-in conditioner with luke warm water in spray bottle and spray throughout hair. Use DENMAN brush to define curls.
• Curly hair is a little more to maintain than the other textures. For wet, curly and wavy hair we suggest using a leave in conditioner.
• Remember the more heat that you use, the harder it is to retract hair back to the natural curl or wave pattern.
